Tipperary Station in the Northern Territory has just completed a second successful year of a commercial scale cotton trial. After planting 100 hectares of irrigated cotton and 200 hectares of dryland cotton, picking has just wrapped up and the results are promising. Australian made UPTON Centre Pivot Irrigators have been installed by Tipperary Station and Paspaley Farming over the past few years to support the development of irrigated cotton projects. The Northern Territory cotton industry continues to gather momentum with the construction of the Northern Territory’s first cotton gin, 35km north of Katherine.
